About

This blog, is inspired by Chinua, my son. In Ibo Chinua means God’s blessing. I was born in the island of Antigua, that small place described by Jamaica Kincaid .  I am presently living in Albany Oregon.  I am a mother, educator and storyteller.  My desire is to tell stories- stories of mothering, and everyday experiences.  I hope that these stories will inspire and transform.

Mothering has been a transforming experience for me. It has taught me to ask some important questions: how do events affect children, their families and their future? And more importantly- what am I going to do about it? Mothering is a unique experience, amidst the trials, there is laughter, growth, creativity and inspiration. It is a journey and a life lesson of love.
